“Sands of the Kalahari” is a 1965 film British drama film starring Stuart Whitman, Stanley Baker, Susannah York, and Theodore Bikel, based on the 1960 novel by William Mulvihill. The movie was written by Cy Endfield and William Mulvihill and directed by Cy Endfield. The plot involves a disparate and desperate group of plane crash survivors thrust into a savage environment in Africa. The 720p BluRay version of the film was released by group Japhson.
PLOT: A small plane crashes in the sweltering deserts of South Africa hundreds of miles from civilization. As parallels are drawn between the group of humans and a nearby pack of savage baboons, one of the men’s survivalist nature gets the better of him, as he decides his chances of survival would be better if the others were eliminated one-by-one.
